What is a community center by today's standards? What does it represent towards the outside? And, above all: How is it organized spatially, how is it constructed and materialized, and what values does it express? How are the many sides of life in Pratteln mirrored in the municipal administration? How does this administration come across to and deal with its clients? These questions guided the project development, whose title TETRIS signifies this multidimensionality, this interlocking spatiality. The unidirectional load-bearing walls and freedom of the spatial formation in third dimensions are underscored by a clear principle of order. Thereby a rich as well as fascinating cosmos is created that meets this aim of multidimensionality to fulfill increasingly complex requirements without concessions to accommodate the Zeitgeist. This is achieved in a natural way, not only appropriate in terms of resources, but also efficient and sustainable on all levels!
