The concept of the design is based on the typical structures of the perimeter block development. Its basic principle of a public street on one side and a private courtyard on the other are fostered by front yards along the Seebahn- and the Erismannstrasse forming a differenciated transition between the road and the buildings. Along Kanzlei- and Stauffacherstrasse broad walkways run along the facades. The corners of the block edge are molded in a way that forms points with a high public profile. This is also where the carefully devised accesses to the courtyard are found.
