The fundamental feature of the design is a space continuum that winds itself from the atelier in the basement to the dining and living room offering a view over Muttenz and the city of Basel by way of the entrance hall. The „promenade architecturale“ repeatedly changes course offering various perspectives and internal views of the building. Rooms higher than normal (up to two and a half storeys high) connect the different levels and the diverse uses of the house.
